WHY RECYCLED
RECYCLING PROCESS
Collection:
Waste that would otherwise go to landfill is collected.
Shredding:
The raw materials are then shredded back into a fibre for processing
Blending and spinning:
Depending on the desired fabric type, some fibres may need to be blended before spinning. This is often the case with materials like cotton, where the recycling process shortens the cotton fibres. To enhance strength, we blend the recycled cotton with a synthetic fibre such as polyester. Many of our products feature a composition of 60% recycled cotton and 40% recycled polyester for this reason. Once blended, these fibres are spun into yarn.

Cutting & sewing:
Once the fabric is dyed it is cut and sewn into a garment.
What do we recycle?
At Concentric, we are committed to recycling a wide array of materials, including post-consumer and pre-consumer textiles, post-consumer polyester, post-consumer zinc alloy, and post-consumer aluminum. Our mission is to divert materials from landfills and give them a new lease on life. We accept various materials as long as they meet the following criteria:

WHERE DO WE RECYCLE?
All our products are designed in Australia. And whilst we’d love to manufacture here, there aren’t any Australian based textile-to-textile recycling facilities. Most of our production facilities are in Asia, spanning from Pakistan to Taiwan and almost every country in between.
We ensure that all our partner factories meet (or exceed) quality, labour and sustainability standards. This ensures safe working conditions, no child labour and responsible waste management.
